Location of Sheraton Zagreb Hotel

It was well after midnight when we arrived at Sheraton Zagreb Hotel, exhausted after this day of travel. We hadn't reached Sarajevo, and we weren't going to reach it tomorrow either, as we were heading home via Copenhagen in the morning. But we got booked at Sheraton, courtesy of Croatia Airlines, which was a consolation.

Check-in was efficient seeing that we were the only ones arriving at this time (most of the people who took the same shuttle bus from the airport seemed to be residents of Zagreb). Dinner and breakfast was included in our stay, but since we were departing so early in the morning, we wouldn't have time to try their breakfast. I wasn't really in the mood for dining in a restaurant either, as it was so late, but the receptionist suggested room service, which I happily agreed to.

Looking for my room
Found it!
Looks good - let's see now...

Yep, this is certainly nice! Too bad I'll only be here for five hours...

Super comfortable bed

Eagerly awaiting the room service (and photographing the placemat upside down - yeah, I was pretty tired by now...)

All set for a late dinner!

Looking back towards the door

Writing desk - not a huge fan of the orange details, but it was a quite stylish room

The room was big, fresh and modern, and I liked the design (apart from the orange details). The bathroom was really stylish, and definitely to my liking. There's not really a whole lot more to say about the room and the hotel, since I stayed here for such a short time. There wasn't any time to explore all nooks and crannies, so I just took enough pictures to be able to make a post about the hotel, and then I went to sleep. It was a good hotel though, and the staff was friendly in a genuine way. I could definitely stay here again if I were to revisit Zagreb (or visit it for real, rather).

A huge fan of this, though! This was a bathroom to my liking!

Bathroom selfie!

This was a good shower

Not very exciting, but some of you might be interested in knowing that they don't have Japanese toilets at Sheraton Zagreb Hotel, if that is a deal breaker...

And this is what the sink looked like

My food has arrived! Tasty, and not too heavy before going to sleep for a couple of hours

The "dinner" (more like a snack) was really tasty, and hit the spot before I tried to catch some Zs, as it was way past bedtime. The bed was comfortable and the air condition was both efficient and silent at the same time, so I had a good (but short) night's sleep before waking up at  5:30 to take a shower before heading down to the lobby to check out and wait for the bus back to the airport.

The view from my room

And in the other direction

It would have been nice to explore central Zagreb for an hour or so, but the bus came to pick us up at 6:15, and I wasn't really in the mood for sightseeing by then, despite being an early bird. This trip really had me burning the candle at both ends... Instead, it would have to suffice just crossing the street to take a picture of the facade. Hah! This time I remembered (unlike in Paris) - I'm totally stepping up my hotel review game ;)
