After arriving at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, I didn't have a lot of time before the last leg of my trip to Taipei. However, the process of getting through security was a lot faster since I was in transit as a first class passenger. A lady from THAI met me and a fellow passenger at the gate as we disembarked, and drove us on a golf buggy to security check, where we could skip the line. She then showed us to the Royal First Class lounge, where we were greeted at the reception, showed to a couple of seats, and asked if we would like anything to eat or drink. Just as in the SilverKris lounge at Heathrow, the staff came with a menu, and I could just point at what I wanted. I ordered a carrot juice and some scrambled eggs.

The carrot juice was good, but the eggs (that came with a weird looking sausage and suspiciously pale bacon) were horrible, which surprised me. I'd heard good things about this lounge, but I wasn't impressed.

With a little less than an hour until scheduled boarding of my next flight, I asked about their spa services (a free massage is included in the lounge access), and they told me that I just had time. I was led to the spa where I got a 30 minute neck and shoulder massage. It was good, and in a way it made up for the poor food (although I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this lounge again). After that, I headed to the gate for the flight to Taipei. Review of that flight is coming soon!
